Specialist Referrals

Three (3) business days advance notice is required for all non-emergency referrals. Please be sure the specialist is listed in your participating provider list and is still enrolled in your health plan. We CANNOT provide retroactive referrals, so it is important that your have your referrals before your visit. We also recommend that you call the specialist to confirm receipt of your referral prior to your visit.

Request for emergency referrals must be made within 24 hours following the emergency during the week or the first business day after a weekend or holiday.
